Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers based on how we operate. Still have a question? Reach out, we are happy to help.

How much does lawn mowing cost?

Weekly mowing starts at $45 for a small city lot, $55 for a typical neighborhood yard, $70 for a large yard and $95 for a property up to an acre. One-time and bi-weekly visits are $10 more per visit at every size, because the grass has more growth on it. You get a clear quote before any work happens.

Why does one-time mowing cost more than weekly?

Two weeks of growth takes longer to cut, produces more clippings and is harder on equipment than seven days of growth. The gap is $10 per visit at every property size. If the grass is over 8 inches there is a further charge, because at that height it is a different job.

What is included with every mowing service?

Mowing at the right height for the season, string trimming around landscaping and obstacles, blowing driveways, sidewalks and patios clean, and a final walkthrough of the property. We protect your property and close gates as standard practice.

Do you offer fall cleanup?

Yes. Fall leaf cleanup starts at $125 for a small city lot and runs to $350 for a property up to an acre. It covers the lawn, landscape beds, driveway, sidewalks and patios, plus small stick and debris pickup. Heavily wooded properties or several seasons of buildup carry a $50 add-on.

Do you offer snow removal in the winter?

Yes. Residential snow removal starts at $50 per storm for a single-car driveway and front walk, and is priced by driveway size. The base price covers snowfall up to 6 inches; 6 to 10 inches is 25% more and 10 to 15 inches is 50% more. Anything over 15 inches, or significant drifting, is quoted.

Do you trim and edge?

String trimming is included with every mowing service. We trim around trees, beds, fences and other obstacles so the finished look is clean. Unusually heavy trimming carries a small add-on, which we tell you about before we do it.

Do I need to be home during service?

No. Most customers are not home. Just make sure gates are unlocked, or provide access instructions, and any pets are secured. We take care of the rest and leave the property looking sharp.

What happens if it rains?

We watch the forecast and may move your service day if conditions make mowing unsafe or would damage the lawn, such as very wet soil. You will hear from us as early as we can if we need to adjust.

Do you remove grass clippings?

We mulch clippings back into the lawn by default, which is healthier for the grass and standard professional practice. If you want them bagged and taken away, that is a $15 add-on per visit.

Can you mow an overgrown yard?

Yes. Grass over 8 inches carries a $20 add-on and grass over 12 inches carries $40, because it takes longer and sometimes needs more than one pass. After the first cut we can put you on a regular schedule at normal rates.

What areas do you serve?

We primarily serve Cedar Falls, Waterloo and surrounding Cedar Valley communities. If you are nearby but outside the core area, still ask and we will confirm availability based on our routes.

How do I request service and how do I pay?

Use the request form on this site and it goes straight into our scheduling system. We follow up with a quote, and once you approve it we book your service day. Payment is online after service.
